This is a Giclee printed from an original Sadie Allen watercolor & ink called "Looming On The Ledges".

This work was made specifically for a person who LOVES fiber arts and the animals that provide the fiber. There are so many animals, tools and processes involved in the world of fiber. I wanted to capture a variety of creatures who have a long history of contributing to this craft and some of the tools and methods used to make fabrics and products. There are alpacas, sheep, goats and llamas all working together on the rocks on all different parts of the process. Some are preparing and cleaning wool. Some are spinning. Some are dying. Others are transporting yarn and some are weaving it. Making this piece was very educational for me because its necessary to have at least a little understanding of what you are trying to draw in order to draw it well. The variety of tools and methods around the world was overwhelming but fascinating.

A great piece for any place that needs brightening up. Children's rooms, offices, restaraunts, living rooms, kitchens, most any place will do.
